Brief Description of my Career and Experience.
Secondary Education at Boronia High School to Fifth Form (Year 11) level in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, P.E, Graphic Communication and Elective subjects.
Tertiary Education at R.M.I.T. commencing a certificate of Electrical Technology completing Basic Electronics, Electrical Drafting, Applied Mechanics, Basic Motor Control, Electrical Engineering Principles and various electives
Electrical Mechanic “A” Grade qualification completed in the employ of R.G. Ladd pty ltd, studying at Box Hill T.A.F.E. Work covered included Electrical work on Mechanical services such as large and small Heating and Refrigeration equipment, Air Handling and Water pumping systems, various Motor starting equipment and process control circuitry.
Following many years experience in Electrical work for Mechanical systems, I made a change to Electrical work for Fire protection and Security installations. The autonomy and responsibility of this work was far more rewarding once the engineering and control shifted from from our responsibility to DDC and BAS system suppliers.
Throughout the course of my Electrical career, I also enjoyed my own part time ventures such as Real Estate investing and Automotive repair and trading
As part of the above processes, I’ve also learned Web development and constructed many Blog and eCommerce style web sites, both for myself and external clients.
As a marriage of my investing and hobby outlooks, I found it very rewarding to learn and commence importation of Classic cars and Motorcycles. This has become a particular passion because of the combination of “The Hunt”, Meeting people, working out how to make deals work together with enjoying the restoration and repair work.
My next substantial step was to combine the skills learned in Electrical, Real Estate and Automotive by investing in Laundromats. Purchasing, renovating and re-marketing these small businesses fitted my skill set very well.
The latest enterprise I’ve engaged in is inspection, certification, parts supply and repair of Pallet Racking systems. Again, finding the correct niche where my skill sets fit is imperative. I service a very small but very loyal customer base.
Mixed in among these responsibilities have been various other micro to small ventures
